Bucket Forks

For the tractor or backhoe owner - top mount bucket forks, or over the bucket forks, will offer an easy, effective and cost-conscious way to implement forks on your machine.

Top Mount Bucket Fork Advantage

  • Evenly distributes the lifting load across the total mass of your bucket.
  • Hands-free mounting. No need to deal with bolt or clamp-on style bucket forks that can, oftentimes, be hard to handle.
  • Real industrial forks, not the fabricated tubes or “forks” that are made with a welded heel.
  • Eliminates potential damage to your cutting edge.
  • Offers easily adjustable fork spacing for the wider loads.
  • Compact, convenient and priced right.

You can't go wrong with a set of All-Pro Fork's Top Mount Bucket Forks!

How To Choose The Right Bucket Forks For Your Machine

Measure from your cutting edge to the top outside edge of your bucket. See Fig. 1

Smaller tractors

  • Add 4” to your measurement. This will be your minimum fork height.
    • Most bucket forks are going to be a little longer than your minimum height. However, they should never be shorter than the minimum fork height dimension.
  • Either choose a 42" or 48” fork length.

Backhoes or similar machines

  • Add 5” to your measurement. This will be your minimum fork height.
    • Most bucket forks will be a little longer than your minimum height. Although, they should never be shorter than the minimum fork dimension.
  • Choose the shaft length.
    • All-Pro Forks offers a custom shaft length up to 87” at no additional charge!
  • Choose your hook profile.
    • Most Case backhoes will use the Case-style hook. Clamshell and other backhoes will generally use the J-style hook.
  • Most of the kits offer a standard 48" or 60” fork blade length. Though, custom sizes and a kit with higher capacity can be individually tailored for any application.

Setup and installation

Step 1

All bucket fork kit setups are virtually the same.

J Hook and Case

The hooks are welded to the top of your bucket. We recommend that they be evenly spaced, but the hooks can be positioned in virtually any spacing configuration.

Bucket Fork Shaft

Thread the shaft through the pre-welded bushing on the back of the fork.

Bucket Fork Washer

Place the included washers on each end of the shaft.

Insert and secure the kit pins into the pre-drilled hole on each end.

Step 2

To attach and use the bucket forks, drive your machine up to the backside of your fork set (with the bar installed as described above).

Step 3

Roll your bucket forward to a dumping position and use the welded hooks to “grab” the shaft

Step 4

Lift your bucket and roll back to the normal operating position until the back of the forks contacts your cutting edge, effectively locking your forks into place.

That’s it! You are in business, now go pick something up!

Additional Information

  • Any lifting device mounted to the front of your bucket is going to increase your load center and reduce your normal lifting and break out forces. See Understanding Capacity and your machine’s operating manual.
  • When your bucket forks are attached, your overall length is increased and your turning radius is also 8 to 12 feet wider than with the bucket alone.
  • Whenever possible, you may want to have a spotter when using your forks to engage a load.
  • Hooks should be placed so that the front edge of the shaft, or the inside radius of the hook is in-line with the front edge at the top of your bucket.
  • Each kit contains all the components needed to install your forks
